The age of 40 has a lot of importance, and reaching that age is not only thought on your career and financial dreams, but it also reminds you to consider your diet and lifestyle choices. That is why there is a famous adage about this age that a fool at forty is a fool forever.

Forty is such a phase of our life when our body starts to experience some physical changes such as slowing down the process of metabolism, decreasing the hairline, face wrinkles, etc.

White Rice

White rice is one of the most famous diets in Nigeria. It can be found in every restaurant and home. White rice is a purified carbohydrate and contains all fibers and nutrients. You can easily digest the white rice, and its high glycemic index can guide you to an unhealthy rise in your blood sugar level. It can direct the growth of fat around the waistline, and definitely, no one wants that it should occur with him.

Thinking about having a taste of cookies every day after the age of forty is not a good idea. According to the research of dermatologist Whitney Bowe, MD, Cookies contain sugar, and sugar in any form includes multiples changes such as from cellular membrane and arteries to hormones, immune system, gut health, and the microbiome (the good bacteria in our gut and on our skin).

Too much quantity of sugar can cause our skin to age faster via the function of glycation. According to Dr.Bowe's research that " Glycation is the biochemical term for the joining of sugar molecules to proteins, fats, and amino acids which is the major cause of aging.

Many studies have connected the advanced glycation end products (AGEs) to hardened arteries, twisted nerves, wrinkles, and many other diseases. Instead of taking processed sweets try to consume natural fruits.
